Who This Trip Is For
Honeymooners and couples who want real wildlife with serious comfort at the end of each day. You'll be up early for game drives and rewarded with quiet camps, private dinners, and a barefoot week on Zanzibar to close.
When To Go
July through October is prime season for the river crossings in the northern Serengeti. January through March brings the calving season in the south, with fewer vehicles. Zanzibar is at its best June through October. I'll match the route to the season you choose.
Arusha
Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Arusha for one night. Meet your safari team, rest, and ease into Tanzania. Your lodge sits in the foothills of Mount Meru, a beautiful unhurried first night before the adventure begins.
Where to stay
Tarangire National Park
Drive or fly into Tarangire for one night, Tanzania's most underrated park and a perfect safari opener. Famous for the largest elephant herds in East Africa, ancient baobab trees, and 500 bird species. A full day of game drives with your private guide and a sundowner on the ridge as the sun drops behind the plains.
Where to stay
Central Serengeti
Fly by light aircraft into the central Serengeti. Two full days of private game drives through the Seronera region, year round big cat country with resident lions, leopards, and cheetah alongside elephant, giraffe, and vast zebra herds. Bush dinners under a star filled sky and the sounds of the savanna as your lullaby.
Where to stay
Northern Serengeti
Fly north to the Mara River region for two nights in the heart of the Great Migration, peak season July through October. Wildebeest river crossings, private game drives, and the option to add a sunrise hot air balloon flight ending with a champagne bush breakfast. Your camp arranges honeymoon touches including a private candlelit dinner in the bush, couples massage, and a guided night sky session.
Where to stay
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Fly to Ngorongoro and arrive in time for a sunset over the caldera, one of Africa's most dramatic views. The following morning, descend into the crater at dawn for a full game drive among lions, rhino, hippo, elephant, and flamingos on Lake Magadi before returning to the rim. A full overnight means no rushing, just the crater at its most atmospheric morning and evening.
Where to stay
Stone Town, Zanzibar
Fly from Ngorongoro to Zanzibar for two nights in Stone Town, a UNESCO-listed Swahili port city shaped by Arab, Indian, African, and European influences. A guided spice tour, afternoons wandering carved door alleys and the Darajani Market, and dinner at a candlelit rooftop restaurant. On your second evening, board a traditional wooden dhow for a private sunset cruise as the sky turns amber over the Indian Ocean.
Where to stay
Kiwengwa, Zanzibar
Transfer to Kiwengwa and check into Melia Zanzibar's The Level, the resort's adults only premium tier with a private pool, exclusive lounge, and oceanfront romance pavilions. Three nights on 300 metres of white sand beach ringed by natural coral reef. Anantara Spa couples treatments, snorkeling, kayaking, and sunset tapas on the jetty bar. A private beach dinner under the stars on your final night.
